Instant Messaging (chat)

Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. Turning the Pages at the British Library is a fascinating service that lets you access some rare books in a new way.
Among the books you will find the Diamond Sutra, Jane Austen’s History of England, the Leonardo Notebook, the Lindisfarne Gospels and the Mercator Atlas of Europe.

Skype

Skype is not new but it is a great service. The basic service Skype to Skype (computer to computer over internet) is free. Over time Skype have added Voicemail, SkypeOut (call landlines and mobiles direct from Skype) and SkypeIn (receive calls from landline and mobile phones).
