Duplicate Contact Manager is a useful add-on to Thunderbird. It searches for duplicate contact pairs and presents each pair to you. You then decide how to handle the pair, which one to keep or to keep both. The later sounds strange but since the add-on compares content in fields there will be addresses where we have not been strict enough with what we enter as first and last name.
