Once in a blue moon

The expression “Once in a Blue Moon” is true this month. It is used to indicate that something is a very rare event. A blue moon refers to the second full moon that occurs in any calendar month. June 2007 has two full moons, on June 1 and on June 30. Two full moons within the same month happens about once every two-and-a-half years.
