Read New York Times for free

New York Times used to charge for access to parts of its content. I found that annoying and stopped going there, there are many other sources for news. Now they have changed their mind, Times to Stop Charging for Parts of Its Web Site which I think is great.

TechCrunch writes The End Of The Pay For Content Model Is Nigh.

Most importantly: this is a win for all of us. The notion of paying to access content is flawed in a connected online world where virtually everything is free, particularly content. Companies such as the NY Times can make money from providing content for free. The fall of the model for all publications is nigh.
