I use StumbleUpon and to make life easier for me I have installed the StumbleUpon add-on for Firefox. It gives me a useful tool bar that I have placed at the bottom of my screen. It is very handy when I want to recommend a site.

PDF and Firefox
I have installed the PDF Download add-on for Firefox. This add-on allows you to choose if you want to view a PDF-file inside the browser (as PDF or HTML), if you want to view it with your usual PDF-reader or if you want to download the PDF-file.

Firefox themes
Firefox has many themes (skins). I think many of theme are too fancy, I prefer to keep things simple. After all, what I see on the web is more important than the look of my browser. The theme I use in Firefox is called Classic Compact.

Songbird Media Player
Songbird is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox and Web browser mash-up. Just like Firefox it is built from Mozilla, cross-platform and open source. Songbird is still a developer preview (version 0.2.1 0.2.5 ) but this software looks very promising. Take a look at their screencast.
Paint.NET
Paint.NET is a free image editing and photo manipulation software for Windows. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. I use Paint.NET myself and I like it.
